Details

Step into the world of Chinese scholars from 1786 to 1955, who rediscovered their ancient heritage to transform the arts. This exhibition reveals how the technique of rubbing inscriptions with ink (rubbings) helped document forgotten relics before becoming a major source of artistic inspiration. Featuring 145 works, the display shows how these rubbings fueled a modern aesthetic revival in calligraphy, painting, and decorative arts, creating a distinctly contemporary visual language.
