Concept & Content

A dialogue between photography, neuroscience, mathematics, and AI centered on the idea of “latent space” to explore representations of the mind and the nature of images, continuing Marina Gadonneix’s series on the creation/simulation of phenomena.

Journey & Works

Iconographic atlas inspired by Aby Warburg’s Mnemosyne Atlas as an introduction, followed by series resonating from ancient myths to neural networks.

Topologies and mathematical models (references to the torus, echoes of O’Keefe and Moser’s spatial representation studies) photographed at the Henri Poincaré Institute; works include Constellation, Walking down my soul, Contre-forme.

Artist Bios

Marina Gadonneix: ENSP 2002; HSBC Prize 2006; Niépce Prize 2020; represented by the gallery since 2017; exhibited at the Centre Pompidou (with Lynne Cohen) and numerous institutions across Europe and North America.

Victor Rambaud: AI scientist and cognitive science researcher (PhD from ENS), specializing in computational models of the mind and the art–AI dialogue.
